Directions to McLean Hospital

From Route 95/128, take the Trapelo Road exit, exit 28A if you’re driving north on 95/128. Exit 28 if you’re driving south on 95/128, turning left at the top of the exit. Go east on Trapelo Road towards Waltham and Belmont. Stay on Trapelo Road about three and a half miles. Mill Street will be on the left at a traffic light. Turn left on Mill Street. The entrance to McLean’s will be on the right, at the first traffic light.

If you’re coming west from Cambridge, take Concord Avenue to Pleasant Street, Belmont. Take a left on Pleasant Street for about one mile to Trapelo Road. Take a right on Trapelo Road. The first right off Trapelo will be Mill Street. Take the right and continue to the first light, at the entrance of McLean Hospital.

Public transportation

To reach McLean by subway, take the Red Line to Harvard Station, then take the #73 bus to the end of the line at Waverly Square, Belmont. To reach McLean by commuter rail, take the train to Waverly Square. From Waverly Square, you may either walk to the hospital, approximately 1/2 mile, or wait for the Free McLean shuttle van at the MBTA bus shelter (sign posted inside van windshield). From the West
Via the Massachusetts Turnpike take the Cambridge-Allston exit
Bear right after the toll booth
Make a right at first set of lights onto Storrow Drive
After approximately 3.5 miles take the Government Center exit
Follow signs to Downtown and Government Center (Cambridge Street)
At first set of lights take left onto North Grove Street
Parking garages on left or right

From the North
Via I-93 or I-1 take the Storrow Drive exit and get in the left lane
Take the Government Center exit off Storrow Drive
Follow signs to Downtown and Government Center (Cambridge Street)
At first set of lights take left onto North Grove Street
Parking garages on left or right

From the South
Via Southeast Expressway (I-93) take the Storrow Drive exit
